Scholarship system

Since its foundation, the Jesus Presbyterian Seminary Jesus (SemPre de Jesus) offered full scholarships to the students during the first five years (2002-2006). Those were very difficult years to the Seminary, which considered the offering of these scholarship as an incumbency.

Since 2007, for a further period of 5 years (until 2011), the direction of Jesus Presbyterian Seminary decided to keep the scholarship system, but receiving only a tuition each semestre.

By the grace of God, even in the midst of such adversities, the Jesus Presbyterian Seminary was able to maintain this scholarship system to date, 2010. We thank God for his grace, and we believe that its intervention and mercy maintained and preserved the Jesus Presbyterian Seminary of Jesus until today.

And called it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us. (1 Samuel 7:12)

Below is an estimate for the year 2011 of the equivalent value of the scholarships that SemPre de Jesus spends per student each month:

The granting of scholarships, accommodation, alimentation is considered a liberality of the Seminary, and such generosity could not be understood for granted. As mentioned earlier, by 2011 all of these scholarships (study, accommodation and alimentation) will be given to students in full. The only fee charged is the registration of R$ 600.00 each semester (value for the year 2011).

But in reality, the SemPre de Jesus is sailing like a ship without fuel at sea. But we believe and trust in the power and grace of God. We believe that He will not allow to run ashore or shipwreck, because the Lord is alive and this work is the Lord's!
